Create professional, polished diagrams and maps in MURAL

Are you tired of struggling to create process diagrams on a slide? Have you been frustrated trying to mind map using overly complicated diagramming software? Remember building a flowchart on a whiteboard with your clients and then having to digitize it later?

I’d like to introduce you to MURAL’s new diagramming and mapping capabilities. We created it for people like you. Now, diagramming is quick, intuitive, and collaborative with MURAL.

Anyone can easily visualize flows, maps, processes, hierarchies, journeys, and more while working alongside colleagues, clients, and customers. And — since MURAL is a comprehensive digital workspace for visual collaboration — you can easily expand the canvas to advance the project beyond the diagram with drawings, prototypes, and more.

Your next great innovation may start with a simple mind mapping brainstorm in MURAL.

Jumpstart your next project with new diagramming and mapping templates

Now, you can start collaborating faster than ever with 15 new templates for diagramming and mapping — and many more to come over the next few months. We built these templates based on insights from consultants, product and engineering teams, project managers, and other MURAL members like you. Examples of flowcharts, organizational charts, sitemaps, and more are now just one click away.

Just click the “Create mural from template” button on the top of the template to get started. Each template was created to save you time and help your team start collaborating faster. They each include tips for using the template and diagramming features so you can get going quickly.

Map your ideas and processes at the speed of thought

Let’s learn more about the new diagramming and mapping features.

Mural makes mapping and diagramming a breeze. To get started, toggle on connector points in shapes and connectors on the sidebar. Now when you click on any shape in a mural, you’ll see the connector points around the outside edges. Hover over a point to preview the next suggested shape in the diagram. Simply click to add it.

We’ve also introduced elbow connectors for you to create more organized diagrams and visualize hierarchies more easily.

It’s also easy to quickly edit your diagram. To make edits in bulk, you can select the entire diagram and filter by type from the object toolbar to edit that type of element. You can also switch an object to a different shape, sticky note, or text box from the object toolbar.

And we’re just getting started. We’ll be adding more enhancements in the coming weeks including new shapes, connector labels, and more.
